Seconded. Gundogans a waste of space, and tbh, i'd have also expected our scouts to have signed someone more mobile and less limited than Rodri.

It blows my mind, that we have Fernandinho playing CDM and he is fucking brilliant. Then we opt to try and replace him with a player whose attributes are nothing like his.

It’s like having Aguero here for 10 years, watching him scoring for fun and then replacing him with Jozy Altidore.

I Just don’t see it with Rodri, he’s a lump. One good game against Burnley stands out and that’s it. We need a proper Fernandinho replacement, someone with pace and energy like Laimer or Zakaria. Fabinho was the one we should have bought.

I am more than comfortable with this kind of player— I think Busquets was incredible without pace. But the disappointment with Rodri for me was that he never seemed like that pivot comfortably spraying passes left and right to keep the attack high pace. An immobile pivot needs to be able to play chips, lobs, and driven passes to feet from both feet. In the end it felt like he just played safe passes to close teammates all season and left all the incisive passing to others.

This was my biggest issue with both him and Gündy tonight. Take responsibility and play some forward passes.

A really bad first season. Slow on and off the ball. Does't read the game well defensively. The biggest glare for me is that he barely makes the classic fernandino tactical foul which is needed in our team. I'll cut him slack because he's gone from Diego Simeone to Pep. you can't get a bigger contrast in footballing styles. But a huge step up is needed or we're looking at another big money wasted signing
