We got a £100m+ player for £64m because he and his agent are incredibly smart and not overly greedy. I think he's going to go down as Pep's best purchase.

It was as close to a baptism of fire as you can get for a defensive midfielder in that he won’t come up against that sort of game very often and the next time that he does, he will be much more used to the speed of the league.

I was really impressed with Dave on Sunday and I think he will be a great addition to the squad. Pep seems rather excited about him too.

After a nervous start today I thought he was excellent.
Opposing fans will hate his tactical fouls but doesn’t bother me a bit.

Half of those «fouls» was on Wilshere who is a 90lbs wimp. Spends more time on his arse than his legs
 
excellent for the majority of the game. him and laporte ooze class and security. very happy to have him in the side.
