Rodri Injury Updates | City say ligament injury (pg117)

Manchester City FC can confirm that Rodri has suffered a ligament injury to his right knee.
The injury was sustained during the first half of this weekend’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal in the Premier League.
The midfielder travelled to Spain to seek specialist consultation this week, following initial tests in Manchester.
Assessment remains ongoing to ascertain the full extent of the injury and expected prognosis.
Everyone at the Club wishes him a speedy recovery and

Interesting to see that the club have announced a knee ligament injury which requires surgery but not really gone into more detail. If he is out for the season the hopefully returns next ready to roll

Rodri knew it was bad when it happened. You could see that clearly by his reaction. The physio was testing his knee through manipulation when he was being treated. They will have had a good idea on the extent of the injury through that. I think we should set our expectations accordingly and any results that is better than he is out for the rest of the season is a big plus.
Would they manipulate it if they thought it was his ACL?

Found it interesting the way they was moving his leg as it was the same motion that I had done to me when I ruptured my medial ligament. I had a grade 2/3 tear in my medial, was just about being held together by fibres.
In fact I remember the physio jumping when she started to manipulate my leg as she said my knee was 'wide open'. It took 6 weeks of exercise, heat treatment and massaging to get it back to normal.

Hoping this is what Rodri has got.
