So you choose this situation to create an opportunity to try and dig out Grealish and Stones both of whom were just now essential to our equalising goal against Arse, not to mention key to our treble-winning season. And of course neither of whom (or their wages) have anything at all to do with the club not signing a Rodri backup.Giving Grealish 300k per week who cannot score 5 goals per season, giving Stones 250k per week and not having room for signing Rodri’s back-up. ACL injury at elite level means surgery. Even in an incomplete injury the ligament is stretched and is extremely unlikely to recover normal function. Any further injury can then result in meniscus damage so not worth taking the risk.

Were losing him for a long time. I still think we will make a good fist of the league.
