Yeah, there does seem to be little or nothing to corroborate the Palacio-in-talks-with-Valencia rumour.
On the other hand, there are reports out there today of Panathinaikos offering 7mill for Palacio...

El equipo griego pretende comprar el 50 por ciento del pase del delantero. Según la dirigencia de Boca, se trata de un "ofrecimiento serio", por lo que el club estaría dispuesto a desprenderse del jugador.

El Panathinaikos, de Grecia, ofreció anoche, a través de un intermediario, la suma de 7.000.000 de euros por el 50 por ciento del pase del delantero bahiense Rodrigo Palacio, quien realiza aquí la pretemporada futbolística con el plantel del último campeón argentino.

La propuesta ingresó en las oficinas del presidente de Boca Juniors, Jorge Amor Ameal, según reveló a Télam una alta fuente dirigencial, la que indicó que el ofrecimiento "es serio" por lo que el club estaría dispuesto a desprenderse del jugador.

El informante consultado por Télam, indicó que fue el empresario Guillermo Tofoni, el mismo que organiza los partidos del seleccionado nacional, el que acercó, a través de uno de sus socios en Europa, la oferta por Palacio.

El ex atacante de Huracán de Tres Arroyos y Banfield, el año pasado rechazó una transferencia de la Lazio, de Italia, situación que desequilibró las finanzas xeneizes, ya que el club ahora necesita incorporar fondos a sus arcas.

- he didnt think kaka would come because he knew one of the 'agents' involved and knew kakas people didnt like him (the whole saga was supposed to be a very tense, awkward affair according to cook)

- he said we have also bid for albiol and just finalising contract
- said valencia asked to postpone the transfer till they signed a replacement (palacios-boca) to soften the blow on their fans
- said the valencia delagation went out last week to boca to make the offer, then they had accepted the offer
- this website says palacios is in valencia discussing terms........

hes also posted two photos of himself (with face rubbed out) to a member on city mans as proof he knows villa (the guy said they looked ligitimate)


i mean if this guy is a WUM.....a lot of things have fell in place for him......?!

Yeah, but there seem to be more reports from today of Panathanaikos trying to buy Palacio than there are of Palacio being in talks with Valencia...

another thing he did go on to say was that the agreement between city and valencia wasnt dependent on them finding a replacement - city are just helping them out. he said it WILL go through eventually if they have a replacement or not.
