Your first paragraph is a load of emotive nonsense based purely on perception, and not really anything related to what posters have said.

Creating a counter-argument to set your view against to make it look more rational or better, sadly doesn't work, as it's easy to see through.

No, its not. All those things have been said countless times all day on this thread. Literally all have been said to me inside the past half hour, and repeated constantly throughout the day.

I feel like im banging my head against the wall. This is never gonna get through. Bored of idiots saying that anyone who wants a kid to be given a chance must want five thrown in at the deep end or sumat. Or that we're not allowed an opinion cos we're not a coach. Or that Denayer was an idiot for thinking he'd get a chance after clearly being told he would. Or that playing a kid in a cup game would compromise the whole season effectively. Or that are kids are shit cos they must be if they haven't played yet.

I've realised there's two camps here.

1) Those who are more excited about signing KDB for £57m
2) Those who would rather we made our own KDB instead, cos it is possible cos we have talent with that potential.

Fucking pointless discussion. Some will not hear a solitary bad word said about the club even when its staring them in the face, slapping them, with quotes to prove it too. It's naive and frustrating. Fine - have it that way. I love everything the Sheikh has done for City, but this is the one (and probably only) area where i'm 100% convinced we're getting it wrong.
Agree 100 %

1. Critiscism of the club is wrong
2. If you feel venting criticism against the club , please refer to 1.

We'll have to differ I can't believe any club could definitively give him the promise he feels he has received.

More or less every contract discussion with EVERY player worth anything, at every club too, involves reassurances about who will or will not be coming to the club and their role within it the next season. it's totally normal.

If winning two titles in 4 years isn't 'cementing our status' what is ?

You really believe that having a few kids in the squad costs titles ?

I absolutely despair at that kind of thinking.

No, that's a leap to create a counter-position that suits your own perception.

We haven't cemented our position as an elite club, 2 titles in 4 years, after a patch last spring that left us on the fringes of the top 4, is not where we want to be It's significant progress, but it's not the end game. We needed to evolve the squad into an elite one that can handle what we require of it without a lot of surgery. That means the opportunities for young players get significantly reduced in that transitional period.

The fact also remains that last season, the youngsters who could be considered to be worthy of some time, were out on loan. Many youngsters were given a shot in the summer in pre-season, and can take that back to their own sides, and use it as motivation. It's a much more complex and developed picture and process than you are, or want, to portray.

There are not two camps at all. There are 3 or posters and then the rest of us.

Stop getting so vexed and insulting.

Your first paragragh is misrespresenting those posters trying to reason with you and give their opinion.

It was you that said you wanted two or three debuts in the Capital One Cup. Nobody said you are not allowed an opinion because you are not a coach as most on here are not. They simply said that they trust the professionals within the club who are looking at these players day to day to have a better informed opinion than all of us.

Nobody said our kids are shit and some said that they will likely to go on to have great careers whether with City or not.

I finished with this discussion as I don't want you to get too sore a head ;-)

So let me get this straight. If we want to use kids at all we have to be either an 'elite club' or a 'non elite' club. Basically Barca can do it, Arsenal can do it, Liverpool, Birmingham & Bayern Munich can do it, but City are a special case who will lose everything by giving some kids an occasional bit of time on the pitch ?

This is seriously how it is ?
