What I don't get about this is I will be watching as many games as possible - but I won't be watching any games because Wayne Rooney or any other player are in the studio or box in the ground.
Apart from the final, games will be shown exclusively by one station. So either company throwing money at anyone to be a pundit isn't going to bring in anymore viewers than if they didn't have pundits or if they had some regular bloke off the street being a pundit.
