Re: Rooney out and Lowandowski to United rumour
For starters, certainly with Ronaldo anyway, they will make an absolute mint from shirt sales etc. Whilst they're talking out of their arse with regards to the 659m "supporters" worldwide, they do have a fucking shitload. Hell, even if just 2m Chinese people buy a Ronaldo shirt - at £50 a pop - that's £100m straight away give or take. He might sound expensive but when you look at the grand scheme of things, in a similar way to how everyone will look at Neymar's transfers in future, the initial outlay is worth the potential income that will come with it.
Bale would actually be the more difficult one I would presume, as Levy would want a minimum of £40m for sure, mainly because he knows Madrid would probably pay that anyway and that it keeps him away from a direct league rival. It's not a totally unrealistic proposition though. I'm quite certain we will see Nani & Anderson leave United in the summer and, despite what fans of other clubs may think of them, they will still fetch reasonable sums of money. Those mental Russian clubs wouldn't hesitate to spunk £20m, at least, on Nani and as for Anderson, there's rumours of a return to Portugal and I'd imagine due to age he'd still fetch in excess of £10m. That's £30m+ minimum coming in and, at a guess, close to 180k p/wk in wages off the bill.
And we haven't even factored any potential selling of Rooney into this either.
IMO, one of Bale or Ronaldo would be achievable for United.

You must of course be kidding. Where on earth can the Rags get money from to pay for either Ronaldo or Bale? LOL.
