Anyone who wouldn't want him here doesn't want the best for the club in my opinion.

Absolute fucking horseshit. Putting aside the fact that he's an utterly detestable **** for the moment lets have a look at what we'd get.
An overweight player who smokes and imo is on a downward spiral. Have a look on redcafe, even the rags are starting to say he looks fucked after being on for half an hour and he deteriorates rapidly after that.
With his body shape he needs to look after himself extra carefully and he doesn't. Then there's the protection he gets from refs just for being in a red shirt. If Suarez or Balo made half the rash challenges that Rooney gets away with, they would spend more time in the stands than on the pitch. His foul mouthed tirades at the officials wouldn't be tolerated either.
I think the rags have had the best out of Rooney and they know when to get rid. For the money he'd cost and the wages he'd demand, I wouldn't touch him with a fucking barge pole. And believe me, I do want the best for City. I just don't think that's Wayne Rooney.
And that rant is all well and good, however I was talking about Ronaldo.

:)

I pmsl, Stony is right but even still, Rooney is quality, just a prize **** and a traitor.

Apologies o feathered one, with it being a Rooney thread I presumed you were talking about grannhy shagger.

Conversation twisted ages ago about Ronaldo going back to United/not going back to United. Someone then said about him scoring last night and beating his chest, which I saw this morning on the telly. I then went onto telling the poster that the news clip also said he, (Ron), had scored his 200th goal in 197 apps last night. You would have known that if you'd read it properly, but I know you like having a little dig at me now and then so I guess you saw 'whoever wouldn't want him here doesn't want what's best for the club', and saw red.

Wayne Rooney removes 'Manchester United player' from his Twitter page:

A few on RagCafe questioning Rooney for leaking Fergies retirement:

Interesting that this Rooney story came out today especially as there are rumours that he's being blamed within Old Trafford for leaking the retirement story.

Either way it deflects attention off whoever it was who leaked the whole hip replacement story, given how quiet the club are regarding medical issues.

Rooney leaked the Fergie story as well now? Well he really knows how to go out with a bang.

Time for Rooney to fuck off from the club, he's shown too much disrespect.

Good rant though!

If the price was right (and United would sell him to us) and we could use him in the team I would sign him tomorrow.

Don't get me wrong I think as a person he comes across as a prize wanker but with this last season being an exception I think he puts in a shift, he's good in the air, he's good at free kicks and he tracks back when you need him to. He's not getting any younger but if the price reflected that he's a good player with plenty of European and Premiership experience.

I'll go and put my tin hat on now :-)

I'd sign him and stick him in the reserves to ruin his career. There's no way he'd put in the effort for city and I'm sure he'd get into a scrape with carlitos.

Don't see why he wouldn't put the effort in - it's more a case of whether the fans would accept him (judging by this forum I don't think they would). To be honest I didn't think much of Tevez 's temprement when he came to City and I thought he was only coming for the dosh but he proved many of us wrong.

“@Djp123Jo: Wayne Rooney I will shit in your daughters hair if you go to Chelsea. I swear it.”

The week that seems to keep on giving... Come on City!
