Roque Santa Cruz [merged]

Hughes obviously believes that he can bring the best out of him. and to be fair, he did, 2 years ago.

I still think his last years fitness problems weren't so much fitness related as we are led to believe..yes, he had a surgery, but really, the results and performances were limited, I believe, because he did not want to be a part of that team any more. He even got a minor surgery out of the way during the season, hmm..

I have faith in the lad, just Tevez & Lescott to go for me to be very happy with the summer.

maybe im crazy but i think he is better then berbatov

not crazy, his all round game is better than berbaflop.

everyone judges RSC on stats of his time at Bayern without knowing anything about circumstances.

he will be superb for us with the talent we will have around him, Robbie and Tevez will have a field day....

This is a great signing, i can see alot more away wins with Santa Cruz in our squad.

Our home and scoring record last season was good..it was the aways that did us..The squad that Mark hughes is building is more than capable of scoring away from home..

This signing doesn't fill me with lots of excitement, it almost determines that we won't be signing Eto'o imo.

If we still capture Tevez and Eto'o then we could have a hell of a squad next year.

Also, a hell of a wage bill.

That is true. And I think, (a) if you believe the rumours of wage demands, no thanks anyway, or (b) it was all just newspaper hype anyway and was never really going to happen, just some agents promoting player prices by naming us and fans here having their heads in the clouds (rightly so :P).

I'd rather not see us getting many more attacking players, I would say none, but Tevez is an opportunity you'd never turn down I think..After that, the focus needs to be on the other areas of the squad.

"ROQUE Santa Cruz has finally signed for City after passing his medical examination.

The former Blackburn striker put pen to paper at the City of Manchester Stadium after coming through a four-hour scrutiny by City’s medical staff and specialists at a private hospital in Whalley Range.

The fee has not yet been disclosed, but is understood to be £17million up front and another £2million dependent on appearances" From Manchester Evening news
