Roque Santa Cruz

I'll maybe start to give a flying fuck for Santa Cruz's opinion once he has managed more than half a dozen touches in a blue shirt that haven't been of a Sunday League standard or below.

He probably injured his jaw giving that interview and will be out for another two months as a result.

I love this "get back to scoring ways" like thats been his norm throughout his career, when the truth is he has had one good season in Europe.......ever.
Yeh but fair do's his career in Europe only amounts to about one season lol!

Sarcasm I can go with it... but RSC has been in Europe for EIGHT years now, so even you are stretching the sarcasm bit a little tight!

have to admit i rate santa cruz, and reckon he will get back to scoring ways with run of games, our biggest problem is actually creating decent chances, Thing tevez has been off pace in his last few and some of the challenges in last month or two on swp im amazed poor lad can still walk

His average is 1/4 which is pretty average, except when you look into it he was 3rd choice striker at Bayern, behind Makaay and Pizarro, usual reason of he fell out with coach and couldnt stay fit. Saying that he did win European Cup and League and Cup with them, he then comes to Blackburn who are pretty garbage scores 1 in 2 under Hughes, in arguably toughest league in world for those that want to critique look at goals per game of premier league versus the rest. With people like tevez robinho superman swp petrov supplying him he would get the same for us, especially if he can get 1/2 average with bentley and pedersen supplying him. Would he win more headers than Adebayor - yes, is he more skilful on the ball - no, would he work harder - yes. Adebayor will get us about 15 goals this season in 3-4 goal spurts. Roque back on form would get at least as many, plus he would be better defending at the back where quite frankly mini me could score against us from a set piece

your optimism is based on the hope that he will learn to actually run again..
