'Keep head down and keep picking up the wage'

He's nothing short of a sponging wanker,if he truly had anything about him he'd have fooked off long ago.Personally,i'd be embarrassed and ashamed with such a contribution.

Yeah,thanks Rocky.......

This. He's been clever about it though. He's Danny Mills X 10 but has people thinking he deserves the dosh for not slagging us off. YCMIU....Played us for fools and still is.

When he goes there will be plenty of blues wishing him well and calling him a nice guy. He's an evil genius I tell ya!

I'd bang his misses though!

and get a big signing on fee as a Bosman perhaps?

Define the word big, no takers for him as far as I can see, don't care to be honest just get him off the books.

I don't know mate I'm just guessing. I'll be glad too.

I'll never be angry on Santa Cruz, Adebayor and similar players..

They are professionals, employers, don't give too much shit about the club they're playing for (like big percent of other players in all clubs) and are there to earn some money "to pay bills"..

None of us would cut his wages for 200 pounds per week if we would have a contract that guarantees are more so why the hell would players accept to cut their wages for 50 or 100k per week just like that...

They would be idiots to do it and I don't see anything wrong in them not doing that, they didn't force the club to sign those contracts with them, they'll be able to earn money from football for few years only and it's "Peter Rabbit" world to expect them to do that just like that, so we could say "fair play mate, good luck in earning 50k less per week than you could"

RSC was the son of Hughes and could do no wrong in Hughes eyes.

It's not the players fault the money spent on him and likewise the wages he is getting this is all down to Hughes.

Wish the lad all the best, he never complained or slated the club unlike others.

Doesn't surprise me that Hughes/QPR have signed most players in this window as giving Hughes money is like me giving the credit card to the MRs, she only needs one pair of shoes but buys a shop full.

Hughes buys players on a whim as he is clueless.

Roque santa cruz hasnt fallen out with city like adebayor so respect to him 4 that .But the lad hasnt gone out of is way make himself a better player.

If somebody offers to double, treble or quadruple your wages even if you aren't worth it and you know it do you turn them down? If you don't cut it atyour new place of work and someone offers you a way out on a quarter of your new employers salary - when you know you can pick up your current salary for the next 3 years - do you take them up on the offer? Do you bollox City offered to turn RSC from a wealthy man to an incredibily wealthy man - its the clubs fault as it always is for signing players on long lucrative salaries and then sacking the manager who wanted them thus lumbering the club and new manager with expensive millstones around their necks. The club should never have funded Hughes in the manner they did - if he wasn't their man they should have acked him from the off and brought in their own man tosplash the cash. The RSC purchase comes from a time when there was money to burn in football - no FFFP on the horizon - and we gave the cash to a manager who wasn't a top name and couldn't attract the top players. Hence we spent top drawer money on players from the drawer the below. None of this is the fault of players or Hughes IMHO.

Great post and tough to argue with. It's the first time I've heard someone on this forum say that Abu Dhabi gave 'Thaksin's man' the money without appearing to question his credentials. It's bang on.

I personally never believed Hughes was the right man. It would have been interesting to see how Sven spent the money!

-- Sat Aug 25, 2012 6:02 pm --

Too true. And to be fair, there is a precedent in the banking world. Until the shit hit the fan, no-one seemed to question the banker wankers who would be headhunted and paid obscene money to join a new bank and if it didn't work out, be paid more obscene money to sit and do nothing for 2 years so they couldn't go to a competitor.
