Tolm hinting at a French import?

Obviously Pogba.....however,i wouldn't mind that being Schneiderlin for Fernando - a certain upgrade.

Tbf mate, a lot of folk said Fernando was a definite upgrade on Garcia ;.)

I still believe he is Davs.

Schneiderlin is league proven, consistently so,i only rate Matic higher.

It's an interesting thought because you would have thought with him being an Evertonian he would going all out die hard to help his club get up the league.

With our homegrown quota diminishing it wouldn't surprise me to know that me might have tapped him up, either way we are going to have to sign one or two English players this summer.

I would so much rather see Rony Lopes, Denayer and maybe Barker being a part of the first team set up than overpaying for any English talent.

Lopes will only count as homegrown after he plays a season with City next season.

Barker still needs a loan somewhere and Denayer won't ever become classed as homegrown because even if he is in the squad next season he will have only been a City player for two seasons before he is 21, he needs three.

We will have to buy an English player or two anyway.

Lopes is HG in all but name. For the PL he doesn't need to be registered as he is under the age of 21. For the CL he is U21 as he has spent two years with city so for the purpose of the squad makeup he is hg.

As for buying English or hg players. Clyne should be the cheapest and easiest to get Imo and I think we need a quick young hungry right back. Schniderlin as a DM or either bale or sterling for the wing and HG quota is set. (we will be able to name a 22 man cl squad)

2014/15 Premier League stats:

Ross Barkley (attacking midfielder): 1 goal, 1 assist
Gael Clichy (left back): 1 goal, 3 assists
Pablo Zabaleta (right back): 1 goal, 3 assists
Fernando (holding midfielder): 1 goal, 1 assist

Meanwhile in France...

Rony Lopes (attacking midfielder for the 2nd worst attacking team in L1): 3 goals, 3 assists

I hope to be proven wrong but I have a baaaaad feeling about this. Throwing stats away, Barkley's general play has been nothing much either. Our best hope is we get him cheap and he becomes a good player for us. If we pay the fees mentioned, Txiki should fall on his sword imo.

Worrying isn't it. Unless the club want an Englishman as its "face"

Its only because he's English we're in for him,its high risk indeed.

I'll now be tuning into the game tonight,if he starts.......

Our fans are crying out for one of our own youth players starting for us! lopes should be taking Milners place not this guy who is overrated big time!

Yep, breakfast of champions. Kurt Vonnegut

Partial to the odd continental brekkie, too.

Croissant, even a churros;) -French

I don't really do carbs though, the absolute devil...Moanhino

We're after Kurt Zouma to piss Jose off....I'm good at this.

Churros is a Spanish doughnut. 100% we're getting Benitez.

This has taken a significant step forward in the last 24 hours.

The wheels are in motion and it would seem the replacement for Milner.

He's a top talent and aims to prove it.

Give the lad a chance if the money men make it work.

I hope you're wrong because I don't fancy Barkley one bit. If he's replacing Milner, the squad will be weaker.

As an Everton fan, I reckon we would sell him for around £40-45m, given we got for £30m for Fellaini and Barkley is home grown and younger, etc. I don't get why City don't throw everything at Pogba though, he's the player everyone wants Barkley to be and I think he would count as one of your home grown players too.
If he's worth that,i'd want £200 million for Aguero !

If i'm honest,I think Barkley's head has been turned .

Inside knowledge?

agree with this 100%. another classic example of the next big (overrated) english thing. i know a couple of evertonian season tkt holders and they both say he's not just been disappointing this season but verging on being garbage!
