Having read through most of this thread the problem is evidently clear.
So much spouting on and high horses - mostly by people obviously too blind or narrow minded to see the real issues here. It's the same old rubbish as all that utter false prison morality about beating up people for certain crimes. What, they really give a shit. Do they hell. It's totally to make themselves feel better.
Social Workers and politicians , whatever individual view anybody may have of them, generally don't rape, abuse and kill kids - people do. Communities don't do it either, even if we accept there is any such thing which is dubious to say the least, people do.Yes, thats us as a human race.
Whilst I am not for an instant saying far far more should and could have been done, untill we all take reponsibility rather than blaming others this kind of thing will never stop.

To be fair mate for a post that starts off accusing everyone else of skirting the issue and failing to see the big picture, your own point is clear as mud.

Social workers don't rape people, people do? It sounds like a line from a Goldie Looking Chain song.

It won't stop until we all take responsibility? I mean what does that actually mean?

Who is this Asian lady on sky news? Sorry didn't catch her name but she's saying the way Asian men are brought up is to think that white girls have no morals and are available so in their minds they weren't doing anything wrong!

Think even eamon was shocked at how forthright she was being

Ultimately, as a human race, yes.
It's doing otherwise which has allowed this kind of thing to go on for centuries.
No offence mate but that's bollocks. Hit the people in SYP who failed these kids with the book ie loss of jobs and pensions, public humiliation, jail time, hit the culprits with serious fucking jail sentences and if something similar comes up you won't see the same problems.
As opposed to "the human race" which presumably includes people from say, Germany who have fuck all to do with this, or maybe some Chileans, or Kiwis. Silly sweeping statement blaming everyone possible to lessen the individual burden of guilt on those responsible. It's bad enough seeing a police force failing their community and those vulnerable girls so badly without giving them the fucking Spartacus card to play.

No offence taken.
Of course the natural and immediate reaction is to take what is deemed to be specific, tangible actions against individuals. For the perpertrators of course that can't be argued against and nor am I.
My point is on the wider issue.
I would argue looking at the case in isoloation will not stop neglect, abuse and murder of children the world over again and again, throughout history. Hence we all, as a human race, have to take a good look at ourselves and as a whole, accept collective responsibility.
Clearly this won't happen - so these types of behaviour by some will continue. As they always have.

What does this actually mean? How do we all take collective responsibility?

500 yards out of Rochdale train station is a home full of young girls either in care or similar.
The building is in an area heavily populated by Pakistanis.
The streets are often frequented by pimps , pushers , junkies , prostitutes , alcoholics and general lowlifes.
These girls from the home are often seen walking around this area. Bored to death their heads are easily turned by young asian men cruising around in cars who pull over and talk to them.
The cases seen before in Rochdale will happen again as sure as eggs is eggs.
This time it is Rotherham that has come to light but you can be sure that sooner or later Blackburn , Burnley , Preston or some other north west town will also hit the headlines .

Who in authority has been sacked?
Who in authority has accepted responsibility?
Unfortunately, there is nothing whatsoever to stop it happening again - or surfacing elsewhere where it is currently happening.

So the whole human race had to take responsibility for something that is happening in Yorkshire? Far too sweeping a statement, how about the community in which all this is happening takes responsibility, or would u rather the people of Manchester or London or Paris, take responsibility, utter bollocks on a grand scale..,

Someone I know wrote to the local Newspapers and Rotherham radio about what was going on. He had witnessed a young Girl and an Elderly Asian Man in Clifton Park coming out of a secluded area. He told me this Park was a no go area after 8 pm because of what went on there. His letters were ignored and when he approached the Council in charge of Clifton Park he was told to mind his own business. People did try to get all this stopped but the facts are it was ignored like so many other issues are because of the race card. I worked in a mainly Asian part of Rotherham. In the main they are truly lovely people but the facts are a small minority are aware they can get away with stuff by crying Racism and that is exactly what happened here and why it carried on for so long.
