Another legit instance, in my 22 years in the RAF I saw two black tradesmen promoted because of their colour.....

One made an appointment with the Air Officer Commanding the Group we were part of for a chat about promotion and why he has stagnated as a Cpl for so long........ he never got the interview but did get the promotion the same month

Another guy was working in the paint shop at RAF Valley on Anglesey, his Father immediately after a promotion board (when the lad was not selected) came to camp to see the Station Commander, he had a letter asking why his son had been overlooked....... In 6 weeks his son was promoted (by the way, the lad was not only junior but a shite tradesman)

I may be coming across as prejudiced, I am absolutely not! We are however a nation of bottlers when it comes to this subject

I wish (on this one occasion only) that we were more like the Aussies

If you start to overthink these situations you begin to avoid conflict , avoid dealing with simple issues and that makes the difficult challenges (such as the point by the OP) impossible to deal with...........

What the fuck would you know about Australia?,apart from some shite you read on Facebook saying that the Prime Minister(Gillard,Abbott,Howard) had told immigrants to assimilate or leave.
It's never happened and never will;endemic child abuse is a subject of a Royal Commision at the moment mainly involving local government care homes,the catholic care homes,Dr. Barnado's and even the Sal Joss.
The police and the social service's management are complicit in the abuse and the Pakistani male has once again been shown again to be exploiters of young vunerable girls(Rochdale,Oxford).

Well no I'm not actually I was born in Middleton but I do know that the Australians enforce a strict "buy into our lifestyle or fuck off " policy (or do you think that this philosophy is manufactured? I've lived in Australia since'95 and it's an urban myth.
What I'm saying is that vunerable children are exploited the world over by institutions and by certain sections of the community.
Making the ultimate stakeholders responsible and punishing the perpetrators should be the first priority not cheap point scoring.

The building is in an area heavily populated by Pakistanis.
The streets are often frequented by pimps , pushers , junkies , prostitutes , alcoholics and general lowlifes.
These girls from the home are often seen walking around this area. Bored to death their heads are easily turned by young asian men cruising around in cars who pull over and talk to them.
The cases seen before in Rochdale will happen again as sure as eggs is eggs.
This time it is Rotherham that has come to light but you can be sure that sooner or later Blackburn , Burnley , Preston or some other north west town will also hit the headlines .

Yes Stony I saw that interview. I hadn't realised that "collective responsibility" had been redefine as he couldn't give a toss. Shaun Wrong will soon have no job if people refuse to work with him!

The report on Newsnight is pretty harrowing. Apparently the frontline social worker who discovered the first sign of all this in 2001 was permitted by her superiors to write to senior SYP officers, who arranged to meet her at their HQ. There she was told to shut the fuck up and never mention it again, before being suspended for gross misconduct.

Without trying to go all tin foil hat time, anyone inclined to conspiracy theories might raise an eyebrow about the timing of these revelations and the fact that the South Yorkshire Police were behind the raiding and questioning of Cliff Richard, being subsequently hauled before the Select Committee to answer questions about the conduct of that investigation.

That's a very interesting point, the Cliff Richard thing already seemed bizarre in a number of ways even before this child abuse report was published. Now you come to mention it though, this does add to the general whiff of something odd going on.

So is the public enquiry headed by Baroness Butler-Sloss going to look at senior managers in social services and the police, or will it just focus on politicians? Oh that's right, she had to step down over a conflict of interest even before the enquiry had started.

So much spouting on and high horses - mostly by people obviously too blind or narrow minded to see the real issues here. It's the same old rubbish as all that utter false prison morality about beating up people for certain crimes. What, they really give a shit. Do they hell. It's totally to make themselves feel better.
Social Workers and politicians , whatever individual view anybody may have of them, generally don't rape, abuse and kill kids - people do. Communities don't do it either, even if we accept there is any such thing which is dubious to say the least, people do.Yes, thats us as a human race.
Whilst I am not for an instant saying far far more should and could have been done, untill we all take reponsibility rather than blaming others this kind of thing will never stop.
