Roughest grounds you've been too and biggest scraps!

Wembley a few years ago it seemed like the red bastards got a hiding from a fair few city fans :)
Not really a scrap but I was walking towards Wembley that day down one of the access roads with loads of blues. Some fancy cars were coming through, and then a hatchback with 2 rags in it having clearly taken a wrong turn somewhere. They both had replica shirts on. People were punching and kicking the car and throwing their drinks on it. Then a young big blue, quite nimble for his size, hopped onto the back of it and started bouncing on the rear windscreen until it smashed and he was basically stood in the boot of the car. Those lads must've been shitting it. The big lad hopped out shortly after and hid in a burger queue.

I'm bored in work so does anyone have any good stories?

The best story I've heard so far was my mate getting a dart thrown and stuck in his head by a Leeds fan and only realising when he got home! Roughest place I've ever been was probably Sunderland! All their fans were knobs!

Theres a pic of that guy with the dart in the guvnors book.

The picture of the guy with the dart in his head happened at Old Trafford.
He was escorted out by the police right in front of where I was stood in the Scoreboard End Paddock.1977 if I remember correctly.

I was stood there aswell, just by the gate in the fencing where they brought him onto the edge of the pitch. Remember being gutted I was just off the side of the photo in the pink that evening.

and yes forest away was always a dodgy one,and to be fair was untill recent years

i should know most of the fuckers are my mates!

All this was before my time, (so what do I know!) But I have to say going to Liverpool now is probably the friendliest away day of the season! Strange how things change isn't it! All the lads of the coaches were saying they saw horrible stuff on Stanley park back in the 70/80's!

Liverpool was a nightmare, even the coppers and the fucking pidgeons hated you there, lol!

It was similar to Maine Road as well, miles from the station and all those terraced backstreets to get ambushed in.

Cardiff in the cup as already mentioned.

They were 1-0 up with about 5 minutes to go and we saw quite a lot of their fans start to leave. Didn't think much of it till the police opened the gates to let us out and they were all stood there waiting for us.

That was a weird one that. Normally there would be at least some distance between the waiting home fans and the exits for the away fans, but at Cardiff it was just one big melee as soon as you walked through the gates.

My mate got lamped as soon as we stepped through the gate, in the "confussion" afterwards I found myself alone, isolated and getting the "thousand yard stares" from several rabid welshman!!

i decided discretion was better than valour and walked straight towards them instead of away from them muttering something about English bastards. It worked!!

The only problem was that I was going in the opposite way to the train station and it took ages to get there the long way round. By the time I did get there a big mob had gathered outside looking for City fans entering.

I didn't fancy wading through, so I went to a nearby Boots shop, bought some shampoo and insisted on a shopping bag to carry it in. I then bought a copy of the local paper, folding it to clearly show the title and carried that in my other hand.

Once kitted out with my "I'm a local" disguise, I breezed through and strolled deliberately on to the wrong platform as the Manchester bound platform was crawling with Cardiff. I sat down on a bench and read the paper hoping to fuck nobody would talk to me.

When my train came in, I waited to the last minute, got to the right platform, jumped on the train and collapsed in a seat!!

I missed the Cardiff cup game having been to Ninian Park for a league game a few years earlier - seem to remember it was the second game of the season, on a bank holiday Monday after Palace away on the Saturday? Got off the train in Cardiff and in those days no shoppers on a bank holiday Monday and we stood out like a sore thumb - carnage all over the place, but that was as nothing when compared to the walk back to the station after the game - supposedly had an escort but there were more Cardiff fans in with us than police, absolutely horrible it was

I was at both those games being from Wales. FA cup game was pretty nasty. I was in a pub with a group of City fans in it who were drunk as fuck and wouldn't take down a Union flag they'd hung over the bar. They were warned by the landlord and a few others regulars that when a mob of Cardiff that drank there arrived there'd be trouble if it was still hanging but fine if they took it down and didn't mouth off. It didn't end well. Glad that that nonsense is all but dead to be honest and there's no trouble down there any longer. City fans will have no problems next season. Safe to drink most anywhere except a few pubs in Canton and the Neville in Grangetown.
