im not gonna say how i know this but trust me its true, its where the origanal Quallity street gang started in the early sixtys , was nicknamed POLLARDSville by those outside the area, quality street where known for scarin the krays away from manchester.

No disrespect mate but the Krays never came to Manchester its proven many times as an urban myth and the QSG were not a Salford gang.

You got a link to prove that ?.

Depends what you call rough.
I've lived on langley, blackley, moston.
Worked in Ancoats,Miles Platting.
Relatives in Newton Heath and Clayton.
No problems at all.
I suppose it depends on your own experience or perception
of these places.
For what it's worth i felt at my most vulnerable in Salford.
Ordsall, Langworthy, Whit Lane.
Maybe it's because i was out of my comfort zone.

ps before the posts start i realise Salford is not technically M/cr
but they talked the same as me and i'd say them boys you don't fuck with.

Longsight,my aunty ran an offie there, held up by armed robbers in the early seventies.
Hattersley, stabbed here in 82 for coming to a 21st,big mistake saying I was from Ashton.
Gorton, serious altercation with the legendary Beano Boys.
Mind you seems rougher now

haha! every city has a gang that 'chased' the krays out of town. it's funny as fuck! always at train stations aswell ''they got off the train then so and so told em to fuck off'' HAHA!
