Surely the ultimate "rubbish" chant is -

Another one dating back to the 80s(?) At times, when the opposing fans starting singing ( no matter where they were from/what accent they had ) the response was "if you can't talk proper shut your mouths '. Rubbish grammar , but that was probably the point!!

On a similar theme , when one set of fans shouts for handball which is not given. The other set of fans then shout 'HANDBALL' for every pass by their team thrreafter , for a minute or so. I Fucking hate this, real small time.The song that is sung when the goalkeeper goes to take a goal kick.
Mainly sung by lower league teams.
I can never make out the actual words,but it sounds so small time on every occasion they do it.
I fucking hate it.

There was a pretty bad one recently about Chelsea fans putting their houses up for rent or something similar, but discussion of it seems to have been deleted in spite of several thoughtful posts (amid some less pleasant ones.)

It really was sung in irony at the time!The Wonderwall Kinkladze / Alan Ball chant is great.
But yeah, tragically it wasn’t sung in irony at the time I don’t think.
That's the one.
Fucking hate it, I'm pretty sure that I've never heard City sing it either at Maine Road or The Etihad.
Won't ever hear this under Pep. His plying out from the back has killed "you're shit, argggh" off as a chant.
