So let me get this straight. You don't believe we were even in for KK but somehow you kept on posting in the KK transfer thread. Riight.
I said I don’t know. The transfer thread is about possible transfers not definite bids. Oh did nobody tell you

I wouldn't say stagnated, he was still good for first half of season, not so much second half including restart, on occasions he has made errors in big games, but it's nothing that cannot be just fixed. He will be playing aside quite a high level of players, unless he's Otamendi from last year just laying on the floor as soon as he's 1v1 he will be fine. He's not injury prone, is quite experienced for his age and has leadership qualities. It's a solid signing on paper I'd say. Also wouldn't compare it to Lindelof, who's stagnated along with all the players who play for scum due to managerial/other various club issues.
Yes Benfica didn't have a good season as a whole,so there's that..But we are basically taking a chance on his current form, not his 18/19 form, and hoping he can recreate that 18/19 form..Of course the club would have followed him for a while now so it's not a kneejerk decision but hope those errors were due to him needing a change in scenery more than anything
Because moving from the Portuguese league, with all due respect,to the PL is a different kind of step up and playing in a high line and with the pressure of playing at City,in his current form..You could see why there are many question marks over him

Is he any good, any better than what we already have? It's better not to sign anyone than just keep going cheaper and cheaper, by the time we get someone for the price the likes of Villa and Newcastle spend they're probably not good enough to improve us.

Why is it that despite consistently getting CL money, incredible commercial sponsorship and TV income, winning the CAS appeal, as well as being listed in the top 5 wealthiest clubs, we are so reticent to spend whatever we need to to finally get a problem position right once and for all?

If Pep wants Koulibaly just fucking buy the lad. Otherwise next season we'll probably be back looking for a centre back again.

if he goes with his left leg that is less likely to happen -never understood why footballers with such high skill levels insist on going with the wrong foot/leg sometimes.
Edit - mistook this guy for a different twitter account

ADL has never made shit up has he? You haven’t got a scooby what bids have been made. Not beyond possible for Txikki to have been winding the **** up
To the detriment of us not having a right sided CB in before the start of the season? You think we chased KK for months as a wind up? Wow, you’ve lost the plot. We are a serious club.

I don’t know why fans have a hard time admitting we’re signing someone that wasn't the first choice. There’s no shame in it, it’s a common thing.

Is he better than Stones and Otamendi? Yes. Is he as good as Koulibaly? Maybe not. But he’s younger and I’d rather pay Benfica than that ****.

How do you know he’s better than Stones? He’s coming from Portugal, might as well be coming from Scotland, it’s a gamble from that league. Mangala, Javi Garcia, Fernando, they looked like world beaters.
