Congratulations. You've just exposed yourself as the stereotypical entitled pie-eater from that era. Lording it over all and sundry, with not an ounce of respect to any fan of any other club. I shudder at the fact that you're a blue. I despise "fans" like that. A little humility in life goes a long way.
Going back a few posts, you remind us of the poor behaviour of Wire fans at Maine Rd in 89. True, I can't deny this. The behaviour of a few wankers cannot be ignored. But, at the risk of me sounding like a dipper, defending their previous bad behaviour, these aren't Wire fans. These are merely local gobshites who turned up for big semi finals/finals, went on the lash, then looked for and found trouble. These wankers probably made Wilderspool's turnstiles click maybe a handful of times in their lives.
May I also add, some Wiganers were no angels that day, either. I don't recall ANY mither at league games between fans at that time, which enhances my point.
The last thing Wire fans are, is bitter. We accept our lot in life. We are, and have been, a poorly run club with chairmen/owners who'll throw money willynilly at the latest superstar. The difference in our clubs, is your respective owners/chairmen are ruthless. They see something isn't working, and they act. Successive Wire boards simply put the smoking jacket on, play the gramophone records, and light an another cigarette.
As Psychedelic Casual put it, you're the RL equivalent of rags and dippers.
