Rugby League Season 2023

Complete and utter shite.
I attended nearly every game Wire played at Central Pk from spring 86 until it's closure.
I changed ends in every one.

Must have been about fucking 12 of you then, the tunnel split that end behind the sticks, you are all making it out that it was like size of a kop or somert

I tell you one thing I’ve achieved here is that you are all bitter fuckers, and each response I get proves my thoughts on “wire fans” is actually all fucking true, because I’m either making it up or talking shite, apparently, proper rattled and the truth hurts

Up the Cherry and whites

Congratulations. You've just exposed yourself as the stereotypical entitled pie-eater from that era. Lording it over all and sundry, with not an ounce of respect to any fan of any other club. I shudder at the fact that you're a blue. I despise "fans" like that. A little humility in life goes a long way.

Going back a few posts, you remind us of the poor behaviour of Wire fans at Maine Rd in 89. True, I can't deny this. The behaviour of a few wankers cannot be ignored. But, at the risk of me sounding like a dipper, defending their previous bad behaviour, these aren't Wire fans. These are merely local gobshites who turned up for big semi finals/finals, went on the lash, then looked for and found trouble. These wankers probably made Wilderspool's turnstiles click maybe a handful of times in their lives.
May I also add, some Wiganers were no angels that day, either. I don't recall ANY mither at league games between fans at that time, which enhances my point.

The last thing Wire fans are, is bitter. We accept our lot in life. We are, and have been, a poorly run club with chairmen/owners who'll throw money willynilly at the latest superstar. The difference in our clubs, is your respective owners/chairmen are ruthless. They see something isn't working, and they act. Successive Wire boards simply put the smoking jacket on, play the gramophone records, and light an another cigarette.

As Psychedelic Casual put it, you're the RL equivalent of rags and dippers.

Right that's enough bollocks for one week, some belting fixtures this weekend.

Today:
Huddersfield vs Hull

Tomorrow:
Hull KR vs Castleford
Saints vs Leeds

Saturday:
Wigan vs Leigh
Catalans vs Salford

Sunday:
Wakefield vs Warrington

I'm predicting wins for Hull, Hull KR, Saints, Wigan, Catalans and Wakefield.

You shudder at the fact that I'm a blue ? What the fuck does that actually mean really ? Because I don't like Warrington ?

So you are spouting the same shit as others have on here,City and Warrington are alike as they have been massive underachievers or underdogs.

Fuck off,you can't decide where you are born, and grow up supporting man.

I was fortunate to have grown up in an era where if my team lost Saturday, which happened quite often,my Sunday team would normally win to make the weekend half decent.

But the only thing that is alike,is that you have been pissed off as not only was your team being crap, your Sunday team was also crap, that's the top and bottom of it.

But this makes Warrington fans martyrs does it ? Because of what they have had to endure ?

But questioning my allegiance to City from you is stooping low, only been going 40 odd years, and I'm Wigan in RL terms, the best as I have said already that there has ever been, that isn't self entitled or arrogant,it's the fucking truth.

Like I say,you are born where you are born, but if your RL team has been shit that's not my fault.

But my RL team wasn't,and it hurts I know

Great post. It's noticeable that no one else has posted to back up his claims. As I've posted earlier changing ends was common place where it made sense to do so. Sell out crowds were uncommon back in the day so it was easy to do. Even though Wigan were winning everything possible, the only fully professional club at the time, it wasn't enough for some of it's support, even now. It would be tempting to use the ignore button but I'm enjoying reading his alternate side of things.

Anyway I'm saying fuck all else now,but all these responses has reassured me I was right what I said all along, and ripping seats up at Maine Road (wow the irony) of all places will remain with me forever

Use the ignore button if you like, couldn't give a fuck, but I'm arguing no more on a RL thread for fuck sake, you all think you are right, and so do I,so we not getting anywhere.

Swapping fucking ends,Jesus, like I said them 2 paddocks were split by the tunnel, and fit a couple in if you was lucky.

But believe what you like

The "I shudder at you being a blue" relates to your embarrassing attitude to other people's teams. It's quite pathetic.
You mention in previous posts that Everton, Spurs, Chelsea were crap in the rags'/dippers' domination periods. What rubbish. Unless you forget, Everton won a couple of league titles, spurs a few cups, and they each won a European trophy during that time. Does that make them crap??? WOW. That makes them winners, just not as often as rags or dippers.

Get back to playing Top Trumps.

Funny, Wigan's domination ran parralell to Viz Comic becoming popular. One of their strips reminds me of your stereotypical pie-eater
