Rugby Union Six Nations 2023

Dont know much about rugby but looks like Gatland has his work cut out to sort us out.
Nor did Pivac the last coach, in fairness this is all a free hit for Gats. But now is a good time to start liking Guinness, Redbreast whiskey, wearing a ginger beard and walk around all day saying " potato " :-)

Well, that was worse than I hoped. No incisiveness in the backs, more loose play near the line, and beaten in every facet.
Biggar is rarely going to break a line, North is wasted in the centres (but Wales have so many winger options, when fit), the scrumhalf didn't create much either.
Italy away for bottom, if anyone's left after playing England's giants.

Having said that, I enjoy watching Finn Russell play as things aren't planned to death with him.

Impressed by Dyer’s defensive play but he didn’t get much opportunity to show what he could do in attack, unfortunately.

The Scots has impressed me so far they look strong and solid. I was expecting more from Wales after the second half v Ireland. It saddens me how badly Wales have become in recent years. The Ireland v Wales match for years used to be the game I loved to watch both teams played the game the right way. If your Gatts promote as many young players and try and mould them into a Gatts team. I feel they will be back again but it's going to take years to sort this out.

Totally agree.
Forcing the game in the Scottish 22, no real pace, power or purpose.
Yes there are injuries but we are coming to the end of an era - Jon Davies, Leigh Williams, Biggar, Halfpenny, Faletau, The Sheriff and AWJ all past it imho and that’s the heart of a very good Welsh side.
Congratulations to Scotland they were a pleasure to watch and their game v Ireland will be interesting.
As for us the wooden spoon is likely.

Predictable cakewalk so far. Italy just can't take the England bulk.
Not much wide play - the leftwing touched the ball on 34 minutes, possibly the first time in his possession. The only wide play to the right was from an advantage, a bad pass, and might have been a try but for someone being tripped accidentally to create the huge space; 50/50 if he'd have stopped the attacker, but I think pulling it back was right.

Of course, ITV are awful - halftime, Pougatch the KnowNothing: "Is this back to bad Italy, Clive?" Clive "MeMeMe" Woodward : "ignores the question and talks about England entirely".
