Down here, historically, the only NH teams we see with real aspirations of winning the WC are England and France. As an Argentinian, whenever we play Wales, Ireland or Scotland in the quarters, we see that as a chance to make the semis. Granted, they probably feel the same way, but the results are there.

I don't know why any of those teams should feel like an obligation to beat "fucking Argentina", a team that has made the top 4 in 3 of the last 5 World Cups.

It’s a cast iron yellow card, to not even give a penalty is scandalous.

Not the reason we lost but given the upcoming CTE lawsuits against world rugby he’s not done anyone any favours.

I think the TMO knew that as well because he was telling him he was going to have a hard time explaining it to the players.

At the end of the day I’m not too upset because we were never getting past the semis, but I hope we don’t have a fuck up like that later.

Agree mate. I think he wrongly interpreted the rules. He explained why it shouldn't be a yellow and not that it shouldn't be a penalty.

Wales were hard done by. Argentina had been poor so far in the tournament but put together a much better performance. Wales' discipline at the end of the first half gave them the platform though.

A good WC for Wales considering the chaos before it, but a missed opportunity.

This WC, thanks to the draw being done yonks ago, has given Wales and England a better chance than they should have had.

NZ will be in the final and joined by France or SA. The rest are just making up the numbers.

I’m sure I’d like him if he played for my team but his repeated chatting back and arguing with the ref was like a footballer. Proper moaning ****.

Because let’s face it, Argentina are a bit shit at rugby on the whole. Couldn’t even beat a currently crap England with a man advantage for 78 minutes and you’ve 5 wins in 26 games against us.

In 2007 you beat Scotland in the 1/4 final (who were also a bit shit)

In 2015 you beat Ireland (again an upset and no one would claim Ireland had a good World Cup that year)

And now you’ve beaten Wales to get there again where you’ll be humped in the Semi. But the point was that Wales can’t say they had a good World Cup with that quarter final defeat.
 
Two tremendous games yesterday thoroughly enjoyed them. Never write the All Blacks off... they found their game when they needed it most and overcame two yellows.Incredible defence. Ireland really had the squad to go all the way but just unlucky plus the phycological effect maybe of never getting past the quarters.
Wales on the other hand should have had the game wrapped up at H.T. The debatable decision wouldn't have come into it. Too many handling errors as well.
As for England today, if these clowns scrape past Fiji they're in for a severe butt raping in the semis )),and yes I'm British/English
