Rugby World Cup 2023

Gah!. France are out!. Stupid game anyway. Yellow card and sin bin for deliberate knock ons, the same offence if you keep floating offside, which makes no sense and the constant advantages which I just don't know why the other team try to defend, when it's near impossible for the ref to say "Advantage off!".

Give me Rugby League any day. No snooty schoolboys or pro-slavery songs sung to the top of the England crowd's lungs. Just good old fashioned working class from rags to riches hard working players and even a Grand Final where you get to hear and see a rock band before kick off.

Only criticism is the scrums, which always go uncontested and a waste of time. The Rugby League World Cup does need proper structuring though, they cannot seem to make their minds up on how many teams should be in it!.

Still, at least club competitions are not messed around with like in Union, what with South African teams leaving Super Rugby making what once was the top club competition weaker.

There are some teams, in certain sports, that just feel that it's their birthright to win certain competitions. They may not even be the best team in that competition that year (although both NZ and the South Africans can claim that plausibly). What I saw in New Zealand is that they seem to feel it's their destiny to win on the biggest stage. So do the boks. Nobody in the northern hemisphere has that conviction.
It's sort of what I feel about playing Real Madrid. Often, they're not the best team. But they've just got this arrogance about winning that competition.
Plus, the teams you mentioned know what it takes to get over the line in World Cups and Champions Leagues. You can't disregard experience.

Crazy both NZ and SA got beaten by Ireland and France yet they then go on to both beat France and Ireland in the Quarter finals I dont think anyone would of thought that both SA and NZ will make the Semi and if not now the final of another World Cup. Got to take my hat off to both teams great desire from both to show us all that they are the elite when it comes to World cups.
Rugby heritage. Same reason England beat Argentina in the group stage. History does matter.

Whatever you’re into.
I can’t watch it. Reminds me of touch rugby.

I worked in a bar years ago. I poured out said Crème de menthe out of the bottle and replaced it with 3/4 single cream and 1/4 Listerene for a bet.

We served the whole bottle and nobody caught on.

Who the fuck wants mouthwash in their cocktails?
I knew someone who pissed in their flatmates Cinzano and they drank the bottle without noticing.

If Argentina are a bit shit then Wales, Scotland and Ireland are just as shit, if not more, since they have had worse results in recent World Cups. As an Argentinian, I feel we have already surpassed those 3 teams in terms of level and will only continue to get better competing in the Southern Hemisphere every year.

I really don't see how Argentina are "a bit shit" and Wales was suppossed to have Championship aspirations.
Not having a go mate but Ireland would beat Argentina easily.
