Rule Changes | EFL & PL | 2023/24

One fan - secretly selected at random - is to be issued with a sniper rifle under their seat and a free pass to use it on the referee if they deem him to have made a shite / corrupt decision.

Watch the reffing standards improve ten fold overnight.

ALL officials to be miked up & all conversations audible and recorded.
Refs to address the media no later than 10 minutes after the final whistle.
Captain only to address ref.
Digital stadium clock to be stopped when ball is NOT BEING PLAYED
If a player is injured by an opponent and has to leave the pitch the offending player must also leave the pitch.
Offside flag/whistle to be used immediately a player is deemed offside.
Fifteen minute sin bin and an ORANGE CARD for diving (Orange Card = 1.5 Yellow Cards)
Handball penalties have to be deemed to be clearly deliberate in preventing an obvious goal or clear goal chance.
Offside is clear and obvious daylight twixt players with benefit of doubt to the attacker.
Free kicks for fouls can be taken from any position on the pitch no closer to the opponents goal to the advantage of the fouled team.
Corners ditto from either side.

To be continued
A player is onside if any part of his body is level
Player receiving treatment, even from cramp from another player, to leave pitch for 5 mins
If play is stopped by ref for a player appearing to be injured then player leaves pitch for 10mins

According to ESPN’s yearly VAR Net Score tracking, we’re actually joint bottom with Brighton on -4, whilst Liverpool are joint second with Fulham on +5. Supposedly United are dead middle as one of three clubs with 0 net point difference, the others being Chelsea and Everton.

But this is just the VAR review outcomes, not an assessment of whether they (or the ref, when it didn’t go to VAR) were correct in their decisions.

For example, the ludicrous Rashford/Fernandes offside goal is not included in the net tally.

If incidents like that were actually included I reckon we, Leeds, Brighton, and Wolves would take the ranking to new depths and United, Liverpool, and Arsenal would take it to new heights.

Probably a discussion for the VAR thread, though.
don't forget Brighton were on the receiving end of another var decision only reserved for the rags when the ref blew his whistle for half time then var awarded the rags a penalty

I haven’t, it’s why I included them in the group (along with us) that would be plumbing new depths in the ‘Disadvantaged by VAR’ table. They had one game that three different highly dubious ref/VAR decisions went against them (they would have likely won the match if not for those decisions). Had a few others that also influenced their final position being outside the top four.

There are some major changes for the coming season with the main one being lots more added time to compensate for the amount of stoppages. Makes sense for once.

Putting my username in here.

The increase in injury time because of shithousery/timewasting etc will piss off the TV rights holders.

So FiFA will decide, along with lawmakers to change to 30 mins half's with stop clock. Using player health and safety to justify it.
