Rumour : delayed north stand extension

I read comments some while ago in the stadium topic that the extension might be delayed because of technical problems with power which might be resolved at a later date: Suggestions of a local power station (small scale - generating electricity for the locality)

There's no question we'd fill it if we're not bothered about prices because Premiership football in a 60k stadium I fantastically exciting, or can be!

Paid for mine yesterday with all the schemes

It makes sense, all the people moving to the £299 and £380 seats in the new south stand, they will need to do the same in the north just to accommodate all the wasted seats on level 2

Spoke to someone today - the club are concerned about the atmosphere and keen to sort it out. They recognise that young lass paying cheaper prices are key for this. Hence the cheap seats and increased capacity. More corporate is needed to permit this and not loose put on income. The North stand will happen in 2 years if we are averaging 52000 plus and filling it x times a season.

I heard from a contractor that they are scheduled to move onto Anfield after the south stand is completed, but the club have approached them and said they are going nowhere as they want them straight on the north stand.

Going back to the power situation, I am sure we had planning application turned down for a wind turbine on the grounds of health an safety which is understandable as ice does form on them and poses a hazard when it falls off....

Completely Different Main Contractor and M&E Contractor and I doubt City would be dealing with any of the subbies direct.
