Rumours Bernardo may leave | Still 1 year left on contract

Feels like Bobbs emergence before his injury is key here. Savinho, Doku and Grealish rotating out wide next season with him as well. Echeverri will need minutes likely on the flanks as well next season. Plus Nico and Nunes, Foden as well if Wirtz comes in the summer maybe?

Can't keep the pathways closed forever and the midfield looks crowded at the moment. If he goes I hope it is back to Portugal and we don't rip the piss with the fee, £12 mil max.

Whilst Bernardo has not had the best of season's, no one can be grudge him a move back to Portugal or Spain if he desires. I like many on here love the little pocket dynamo and if a move doesn't happen I would have no qualms on him seeing out the final year of his contract.

Look, it's another player who has done and given the lot at City, The question is the fee City will demand rightly so,
£20 million should be the minimum, City should not buckle and let him leave for free
15m a year in wages to consider.

He appears to have run himself into the ground; he has a work ethic and tenacity that I have not seen in another player. Even this season, when he hasn't been anywhere near his best, he has been there week after week while everyone else has dropped like flies. He needs a summer off, which he won't get with us. If he wants to go, City should help make it happen, but he's one of our best ever players and is still only 30, so I wouldn't rush to kick him out of the door.

Yeah, he looks like he needs a massive rest

I said earlier he's either an old 30 or needs a fresh start, but I'd add a proper rest to that.

If he was to be here next season, I'd rather the club tell him to go on holiday rather than play in the club world cup. That's unlikely to happen but at next season would tell us if he's declined by 30 or he just needed a break.

Exactly. His attire matched his distain for them.

Grealish? Will 100% leave

Moved to its own thread.

It's brutal if true but not entirely wrong. Does feel like we need to change it up now.

Gutted if it's him and Kev to go, my 2 favourite players in the last 10 years.

I'd be happy to see him as a squad player and see out his contract, get s proper send off next season.
As is stated elsewhere, not a game for sentiments these days.
Some would argue sentiment has played a part in us finding ourselves where we are this season (and that's from a 57yo by the way)

He's been my favourite player for 5 years for us. His role is just not the same as it was for the way we play. Only 30, it doesn't make as much sense as KDB that he's dropped off, and I'm inclined to think it's more style of play than him - but either way, if he's "happy" to go let him and go and get some money for him.

You refer to our system struggles, but lack of physicality combined with lack of pace is a recipe for disaster in the PL now, whatever the system/set up we use, when you look at the profile of most of the opposing teams in the league.
It’s not. Teams have always been more physical and quicker than us.

Teams have learned a system that allows them to negate us in a low block and then having success on the counter, so we need a Walker replacement in defence to cover our high line.

The lack of Rodri is a huge factor in that though. He screened our back 4 immensely, giving the other 5 attackers more freedom to attack without fear of the counter attack.

We still tend to batter anyone that comes up against us and uses a high defensive line, like Newcastle at home.

My opinion is that he's been poor since the semi final against Real Madrid. I would caveat that though with the fact he's run his bollocks off for years and not had much rest

I've just seen an article that guardiola has approved that Khusanov to go out on loan next season .
Doesn't think his game is ready to play for us .
Says he needs more training & experience to play high level football for us.
Spanish outlet fichajes are stating it .

Probably all bs, but if that’s right that’s an absolute joke.
