Read the book ‘Born to Run’ changed my way of running forever
is it about me?
When I read it, it was all about Bruce Springsteen. Not a mention of runningIt’s about us all!
So whose up for the Salford 10k this week and what time we aiming for ?

I’d be chuffed with under 50 minutes be interesting what the course is this year due to the tram works.
Decent waterproof jacket is an essential through the winter though.
I have to disagree. I live in cold, wet, northern Cumbria and I run throughout the winter with just a T-shirt. The body warms up very quickly when you start running. Hands and ears are a different story though! Hats and gloves are what is needed in cold weather. As for dealing with rain... Just get wet!
Got the course map in front of me but not sure how to post a picture on here. I’ll try and sort shortly.

Being 5 days after racing a half marathon, I thought I'd be sensible and set out for a short cutback week LSR of 7.5 miles last night. Towards the end, I had so much in the tank that such a distance was obviously too short so I added a bit more... then a bit more... then a bit more... until I'd run 16 miles. I seem to keep doing this.
Salford 10k in 44:39. Made up to be under 45!
Cracking pace.
