Did my first ever hungover run today. Never again.
Well I
We all got PB'S today. I did in 50.40 but a bit disappointed really wanted under 50. But they inclines round the swamp did me.
It’s the stench that gets you mate!! Well done pal.
Yeah well done boys I always find running around the swamp increases my speed!

Just signed up for the Manchester Half Marathon will be my second time-just going to try and train properly this time.
Anybody else doing it?
I am mate, booked yesterday, aiming for 1:40 this time.
Nice one under 1:50 is my goal this time.
Training wise going to do 8 mile on Sunday and then up to 10 mile and one 12 mile run this time-sound okay to you mate?
It’s similar to what I do, normally do 3-5 miles on a Monday, 7-9 Wednesday then 10 plus on the Sunday then occasionally throw in a 12-14 miler, depends who I’m running with. Think if you get to 10 plus the half distance is already in your locker so to speak and easily achievable.
Not saying I’m any expert just find that’s good for me, everybody is different. Good luck.

I think i did about 2.10 last yr, but did same thing I always do set off too fast and then struggle at end !
Cheers for the advice. Visited the shop in Hyde and got the gait analysis done and walked out with a pair of trainers for £75 which is less than I expectedGet a gait anlaysis and get ones that suit you, not somebody else.
Run north west will be good - I've not been in since it changed from sweatshop but the people running it know their stuff.

Manchester half marathon booked. First time I've taken part something like this so can't wait. Done the distance on the treadmill a couple of times so time to start proper training now. Any advice much welcomed.
