Running thread

When I say 'just a T-shirt,' I should mention that I do wear clothing on the lower half of my body as well, for the benefit of any police officers reading this.

I have to disagree. I live in cold, wet, northern Cumbria and I run throughout the winter with just a T-shirt. The body warms up very quickly when you start running. Hands and ears are a different story though! Hats and gloves are what is needed in cold weather. As for dealing with rain... Just get wet!

I have a light Karimor Hi-Vis running jacket mate, just enough to not get soaked and cold, plus has pockets to stuff my gloves in after the first few miles and i've got them warm. During Spring, Summer and parts of Autumn i don't worry about getting too wet but doing 10-15 miles in the middle of winter i don't fancy it!!

Being 5 days after racing a half marathon, I thought I'd be sensible and set out for a short cutback week LSR of 7.5 miles last night. Towards the end, I had so much in the tank that such a distance was obviously too short so I added a bit more... then a bit more... then a bit more... until I'd run 16 miles. I seem to keep doing this.

Silly boy!! Rest week!
