Running thread

Day 762 in a row.

ran 6.5 miles to my mates house who has lent me his hair clippers.
Hope you wash them first... might have used them on his bollocks!!

10k today in 54:30... that’s the 200k done this month. Feb is a month of hill sprints, step sessions and strength work, not worrying about distance.

200k in a month is a crazy amount.

just under 6.5k a day! Nice
Cheers mate. I’ll be honest I’ve really been struggling with my pace, seem to be getting slower and weaker each run.

Decided to go back to basics so today it’s been a gentle warm up, 10th of a mile hill session x 5 with 10th mile walk back down followed by a cool down. Going to just do the hill repeats and strength work this month to get some stamina back.

I've rested myself since Wednesday. Going on a run tonight though with some new running accessories.

Really want to be doing 6k minimum each time now.

Did an 18km run yesterday with the whole mantra run slow to run fast at the forefront of my mind. Find it harder in many ways to quicker running as it feels almost unnatural and painful but the science says it's the way to go.

That's 117km in December and 140km in January after doing very little running in the proceeding 5 months (no running).

Going to avoid pushing for 100km this month and do some more hill sessions and some long easy runs to just focus on strength and stamina.
