You did it though! You could easily have given up. It's these tough ones that show true strength of character.Brighton Marathon summed up in a picture
Felt fine 16-17 miles then cramped up really bad - was stop/start till the end
Finished around 5 hours
Disappointed but not to fussed , another Marathon ticked off

Hats off to you continuing and finishing it after the wheels have fallen off. Hopefully you’ve managed to avoid any lasting injuries.Brighton Marathon summed up in a picture

Great effort mate considering the pain. I've been there before, and only when it happens do you realise just how far that final 10 miles is!!! Well done for getting it finished. Any mistakes made in hindsight or just one of those days? Got to say when I did the Manchester marathon last year, I learnt from a lot of my past mistakes and whilst it still fucking hurt over the last 5 miles. It was a lot more manageable!
Been there, done that. But got injured / cramped after 2 miles and then realised how far that final 24 miles is....Great effort mate considering the pain. Stretford Parkrun in 30:34 today - my first 5km since 11 March, also Stretford Parkrun.
That's almost a month out with injury. Arthritis in the hip, which was really painful, but thankfully is easing off a bit now.
I miss going out for short runs. Miss the feeling of slightly tired legs after a run, although that is back now. Today was tough, having lost a lot of fitness, but hopefully I'll be able to get out more in the coming weeks.
That would be nice. I do Stretford whenever I can at the moment and should be there next week, as long as it's not pouring with rain.Well played, mate. It's always tricky to regain fitness after an injury enforced break
I'll be doing Stretford next Saturday pre match if you want to say hello.
