Well done mate. I've skipped today as we've got all sorts of family stuff to arrange. This morning's Isabel Trail Parkrun on the "B" course involving 4 laps of Stafford rugby club completed in 28:12 which is a new PB.
Not bad for an overweight retired bloke powered by last night's chippy tea.

It all seems a rehash of the usual stuff they trying to get rid of mate, is it a specific type your after? Daily/speed/trail etc??Hi all.
Have you seen any good sales in running shoes cropping up? I'm in the market for some...

Well done. I went to Peel Park with my son. Finished the B course in 31:13. Winter niggles are starting to kick in.Completed my 120th Parkrun this morning at Alexandra Park in 28:51 powered by fish & chips, parsnip soup and trifle.

I enjoyed the B course, and the two uphills are only short, so not too bad there. Left turns put a strain on my left hip, and I have to take those easy. Both courses are a nice run though, with 2km alongside the beautiful River Irwell, the rest through trees and nice parkland. At least the "B" course is mud free, but the 2 trips up the slope from the river and the right corners zig-zagging across the park are hard work!
I'm on 1,600km for 2024 and hoping to reach 2k by the end of the year. Lost over a stone.
Anyone who's on the fence about running, get out there - best lifestyle choice I've ever made.
I’m running a half marathon tomorrow to complete 1000 miles for this year, considering I had some medical issues during the year I’m ecstatic about achieving it as it was my goal all along.Ran an easy paced half-marathon today to complete 2,000km in 2024!
Can’t wait to try and beat that in 2025.
HNY mate, good luck with the half tomorrow no doubt you'll crack it..I’m running a half marathon tomorrow to complete 1000 miles for this year, considering I had some medical issues during the year I’m ecstatic about achieving it as it was my goal all along.
Going for 2000 next year as decided to scrap the car and run the 3.5 miles to work and back each day next year.
Happy new year to all and good luck with whatever running challenges you set yourselves next year.
