Same
Yep same here. Ballooned over Christmas and now carrying an extra 5 pounds of timber.

Really focused this year but the body seems a bit fragile, so hoping injuries don’t hinder my progress.
Same here, last run 25/11. Hoping to do parkrun on Saturday.

I'm up to running four times a week, aiming for 200k in January. I'm doing the Malta marathon in February. My training is a little behind schedule, need to get rid of a cold and about a stone in weight. Dry January starts today..
i wanna try a dry 2025, which actually i am capable :))) I often go without drinking alcohol for 2-3 months, as an alcoholic. But after races, especially if I run well, I definitely end up drinking in the social atmosphere.

I used to love playing football in the rain. After I started running, I realized that I enjoy running the most in rainy weather. As Henry Wadsworth Longfellow said: "for after all, the best thing one can do when it is raining is let it rain"
:))
have a nice weekend

Morden parkrun this morning. Cold but not as bad as I expected. Forgot to stop watch and starva says 35.54. I'm expecting official time of about 34 mins. My first run since 25/11 and 2nd in over months so happy to get round. 3rd in ages group and official time of 33.53

i was using polar rs800 since 2014, which i still do. great watch.

I used to upload my workouts to the Polar Flow site. However, Polar discontinued support for older watches in recent years. This past August, I got a new Polar Vantage. When my workouts started syncing to Polar Flow again, they also began syncing automatically to my Strava which i was not using.

Anyway, all my workouts are showing up incorrectly on Strava. I don't use it much, but I'm curious about the reason. Do you know why this might be happening?"

Probably weak GPS signal

Probably weak GPS signal
When I upload to Polar Flow after getting home, my results appear correct. Polar Flow then sends the data to Strava, and the results look incorrect on Strava. It just seems odd to me. So, i think there's no issue with the GPS signal... Anyway, I already use Polar Flow. Thanks!

ps: decided to ask chatgbt. that may be the reason. cheers.

GPS Filtering: Strava may use a different filtering method to process GPS data in order to reduce errors. This can result in differences in distance or route appearance.

Anyone else sick of the snow/frost/ice? I've got myself an indoor bike so I can keep exercising and stop going stir crazy! :')
I've been injured, so wouldn't have been able to run anyway. Looking forward to getting back out though.

On another point, it looks like Kerem Gokmen has quit the forum. Shame, as I enjoyed his weird and wonderful posts.

Same, he was entertaining on here. It's a shame to lose a fellow running enthusiast! He inspired me to read a book that really improved my running last year. (how bad do you want it - Matt Fitzgerald).

Jesus wept how is this even news?? It goes down alp the time, and just like every other time it is back on again now, do people get paid to write this shite

My inactivity means I don't often know when they go down anyway!

I've literally never had a single problem with my Garmin. It's the best watch I've owned. Miles ahead of apple watches (for working out anyway).

So far, I've done about 50k on my bike in 2 days. It's quite good. Not as fun as going out for a run, but it meant I got two good long workouts in whilst the weather was shite.

Is anyone here using Zwift for cross-training? It's pretty cool.
