56 mate. A rag **** has challenged me to a race in Altrincham, not letting the bastard beat me.How old are you? That's a decent time no matter what.

Is that the one across the road from the stadium? I’ve done it once, on a winters morning. My recollection is of it having one or two quite short sharp climbs as you do the laps.Peel Parkrun plodded this morning in 30:54.

How did you find it pal? Bit different to Isabel Trail …
Ah yes, thanks pal. My mistake. I’ve done both those, but it was Phillips Park I was thinking of in that post. Yes, Peel was a busy one but really enjoyed it and ended up with a surprisingly quick time (by my standards anyway!)Peel is next to Salford Uni.
Opposite the stadium is Phillips Park I think.
Grew up around north coast, know area very well. Lots of my friends ran it. Hope you enjoyed it mateTravelled over to Northern Ireland for a race at the weekend (antrim Coast half marathon) combining with a short holiday. Really well organised race with beautiful scenery, started in Larne. Not as quick as Manchester as had some lumpy bits in it Did 1.34.
Best part was seeing the leaders including some very well known Kenyans coming the other way after 7 miles.Would recommend.

With views like that, who cares how long the run takes!Hey guys. I'm not on here so much recently. Family holidays, weddings, age, injury and other circumstances are all interfering with my running.
I'm 64 now, with a dodgy left hip, but I'm grateful that I can still get out on the occasional run. I'm holidaying on the Ross of Mull this week. I've just completed 9km in 1:09:41. At the pace I run at, I got to take in stunning views variously of Erraid (features in RL Stevenson's Kidnapped), the beautiful Isle of Iona, with Staffa and other Hebridean islands in the distance, plus scenery and wildlife not often encountered back in Cheshire.

Nice one Staffs. Spy any rags on there today? :-)This morning's Isabel Trail Parkrun completed in 29:31. Still too warm for me, but glad to be back to sub-30 minutes.
Haha yeah. Got chatting to two of them walking back to the car after today’s run. They’re almost at the ‘don’t care anymore’ phase now but I still got the Grimsby mention in! :-)No. Conspicuous by their absence, funnily enough!
