Running thread

@gaz76 tried the inov8 trailfly on yesterday. One thing I did notice is the tongue is not very thk so even walking in them I could feel the laces digging in. Bought a pair of ParkClaw in the end, lower spec but felt a really nice fit. Lady in the shop also said new versions to be launched very soon.

Cheers bud, just about to hit the buy button, so will take a look at the parkclaw
 
@gaz76 the infamous hill on the manchester marathon that I see get talked about everywhere, is it Stamford Road?!

I can see why it might be tricky 16 or so miles in when the rest has been flat...but I know Altrincham and it isn't a very long climb! Can't be more than 400m.

Its the A560 in the pic mate, I agree its a slope if anything and normally it wouldnt be an issue, but lots of folk(myself included) seemed to struggle with it last time out, Ive stuck it in a few of my long runs lately and had no mither with it, think the general consensus seems to be that as you will have done a lot of pancake flat miles it just takes you out of the comfort zone. Think what also got me was seeing the 3 hour pacer and his tribe happily going the other way!!
