Did my second 5K of the year last Saturday. Beautiful clear day, though cold. Felt surprisingly good and came in just a few seconds off my PB at 35’46”
Red shoes are a straight No from me too :’)I've got both the af3 and the nvb4 and would say your probably better off looking elsewhere, the nvb4 are just OK, and not much if any of an improvement on the 3's.
The Af3 are a weird one, they do give you good energy return, but I still can't figure out where the footstrike should be, and I'm not convinced they are the fastest for a man of my size(13st ish)
If you want to go quick, the saucony endorphin elite are rapid, the Asics metaspeed sky+ are also speedy, hard to tell between the two tbh.
I've just been looking at the endorphin pro 4 and they get great reviews so I'm tempted as well.
Asics are releasing the new metaspeed paris at the start of march but they seem to be only available in red so its a no from me, even though they will be a rapid shoe
Let us know how they are mate, they look decentRed shoes are a straight No from me too :’)
Thanks for that. Gone with the Endorphin Pro 4s. Worth the investment based on reviews!
Ahh FFS did you have to tell me that, I must resist!!New York Marathon applications open at 8pm!
Good luck to anyone applying!
Did you manage to get one?View attachment 108485
They are open now, with an hour queue to get on the website!!
Didn't try, I've got chicago and valencia at the end of the year so will save new york for next year. Did you?Did you manage to get one?

Nimbus 2000 - you'll fly!Any shoe recommendations?
I'm currently rotating between a paid of Novoblast 3s (623 km so far) and Nimbus 25s (173km).
I've ran 180k in Feb and 200k in Jan, so I definitely need to throw a third pair into the rotation. I have 6 races booked. I don't know whether to go all out and buy some plated race shoes (suitable for 10k, half and marathon), or to go for something cheaper that I can add to my rotation.
I'm really tempted to get some Alphafly 3s, but they're out of stock everywhere and I think you pay a lot for the Nike tick on the side. Endorphin Pro 4s look great but I never tried Saucony out previously. Or do I just stop being a knob head and buy some Novoblast 4s for ~£100 less?
