Breathlessness is the main symptom for me. After 5km, I feel physically very tired (I won't go as far as to say exhausted). A final 100m push at Parkrun is absolutely out of the question. What are the symptoms of low iron, or is something that is picked up in blood tests?
Before this level of fatigue, I could easily do 5km, 10km, 15km regularly. My Parkrun times are currently around 32 minutes. Six months ago, even with a dodgy hip, I was hitting around 28 minutes.
After last week's Parkrun, I felt a little light headed. This was my trigger to get checked out again, as I fainted twice before my first diagnosis, in 2021.
I like to go for a slow run, without worrying about distance, and just come home when I'm ready. It's what chills me out, mainly. Hopefully I'll get back to that. Also have to understand that my body is deteriorating, after nearly 63 years of constant use.
