Running thread

I’m definitely going to go one of them, probably Hackney is my closest.
My 5k locally is quite a tough route.
Be good to see if I could be my PB on flat.

One I normally do is tough, couple of big hills in it so I sometimes pop to one 8 miles away, nice a reasonably flat so do that for PB times.
Just done another 10 miles in 1:22. That’s over 700 miles this year, aiming for a 1000+

My legs feel absolutely fucked after my recent exploits! Walking like the tin mate at present.

How do any of you guys cope with injury?

Ran Dublin half marathon a couple of weeks ago (PB 1 hour 36 mins!) and have aggravated my achilles tendon. Haven't run for 2 weeks almost and another to go, going stir crazy!!

I use ice on my achilles if they're playing up, load of it in cold water in a bucket and sit with me feet in for ten minutes. Also occasionally have a cold water bath plus do regular stretching, have a foam roller for my Calf and Soleus muscles, sit and roll my legs on it to help stretch them out.
