My review of the year.
I ran 1715km in 2020, the distance from Manchester to Rome. One of my targets was to run a half marathon. I ran four equivalent distances and registered one as a virtual half marathon to make it official. I had not run one before this year. The hardest was in Mull, Scotland, with an elevation gain of 496 metres. My running in December has been curtailed due to weather and injury unfortunately, but I did manage a 10k yesterday.
Targets for 2021? I turn 60 in July, and another half marathon when I'm 60 is one thing I will go for. I'm also looking forward to getting back to Park Runs and a few organised 10ks. Mainly though, I aim to keep fit and active and enjoying retirement.
I would like to thank the Bluemoon running community for your help and support through this difficult year. Advice has always been freely given, taken, and appreciated. Thank you for your reports of your activities too. They are always encouraging.
Special shout out to
@BlueHammer85 on your running achievements, but also for your Top 20 books thread - my favourite thread of the year, along with this one.
I'd like to wish you all a happy New Year. Stay safe, keep up the running and other activities, and keep posting in here for everyone's benefit.
