Nice, that's the sort of jazz that gets you motivatedJust signed up for Oslo Half Marathon in September
Ultraboost 20s - for me they are perfect lots of cushioning and great grip. However the UB21s and 22s are totally different and I don't like them (mainly the weight of the things they are 1/3 Kg each!). So just bought Asics Novablast 2 but not able to run as I am nursing an injury, will update you when I do.I was wondering what trainers everyone is wearing these days? And do you like them?

Ps: Shoes should be a totally personal thing, some people like cushioning, others like light weight and others may need stability, I would always suggest getting your gait analysed before buying a new brand of runners.
I am going to have a look at the Boston 11s, I think they seem to be more like the older Ultras, but I needed to replace my 20s and went for the Asics until the Boston 11s are on sale (£140 is just too much)I recently got a pair of 22's having worn out a pair of 20's and fractured my ankle the first time I wore them (maybe more my fault, but good to blame other factors (bigger sole)), also get a repeated blister on the inside of my right foot where the cage seems to rub, and after getting back to some sort of routine now my injury has healed, I am getting a pain in my left calf/shin, so haven't been out in a week..... will attempt a run tomorrow though as half marathon in 7 weeks and need to get the miles in.
Started to look for another pair of 20's or DNA 4.0's, but none in my size online. I can get 44% off at Adidas, so ideally need to wait for them to come back in stock.

Happy birthday mateI ran my annual lap around Derwentwater before breakfast this morning. I met a guy about half way round and ran the second half with him. 15km. Loved it, despite slight drizzle in parts, and some muddy puddles.
Lunch with the family later to celebrate my 61st birthday.![]()
