My wife got into the London marathon so decided to get off my arse and start running so I can get out to help support her. I am sure she will need a partner in the next few months!
Starting with the Runna program, doing around 3 something KM in 30mins, mix of 1/2min running and 1min walking as I build it up.
Currently in Japan, still sticking at it and trying to get out in the mornings so I don't die in the mid-day heat.
My wife is raising money for a charity which really helped when she was sick last year so hoping she can reach her target!
Just walked back from my morning swim (calorie burning + nice cooling water = double win) and there's people out running in the midday sun in 25°C heat. Talk about mad dogs and Englishmen!
I'm not long back from my dinner time run, all about aclimatising to the heat for me, off to Croatia on Friday and it's currently 40 degrees there so running is going to be erm..... interesting!!I've got an easy 6k run to do today and think I'm going to do it at dinner. I love a run in the heat, especially a shorter one.
Once it gets beyond 10k I'd be a bit more careful.

Yep it's been going a few years now mate, we had a blue moon virtual 5 or maybe 10k a while back as wellJust joined, didnt realise we had one.
Just looked and it was a 10k, in march 2021,our resident west ham fan sorted it all out, maybe when @BlueHammer85 has stopped drinking himself into oblivion we can have anotherYep it's been going a few years now mate, we had a blue moon virtual 5 or maybe 10k a while back as well
Went out at 06:45 this morning & completed about 5.5k. First time I've done that distance without stopping for a couple of weeks, but it was at a very steady pace.
Got home, had a cold shower, but I've only just stopped sweating in the last half hour or so!
Honestly didn't think it was that bad this morning, although I must have sweated out about 4 litresTough going in this heat.

Thanks for the vids, Stu. Nice entertaining snippets, which I would encourage others to watch. They are only a few minutes long, and always have some interesting tips.Sitting here feeling sorry for myself with a nasty dose of Covid-19 so I thought I'd share my new video about getting it all wrong as a runner.
Thanks for the feedback mate! You're very kind and it means a lot. Thanks for the vids, Stu. Nice entertaining snippets, which I would encourage others to watch. They are only a few minutes long, and always have some interesting tips.
I score quite well on this one. I don't drink, always have a warm down, and can never be accused of going too fast.
Maybe do a collaboration with Gaz about where to get cheap running gear.
