Russia detects possible signal from "sun like star"

I recently graduated from the school of the fucking obvious. He has aliens building the pyramids, he talks to space sentinels, he sells a lot of books with no proof at all.

He's a conman. Look him up on youtube and some of the batshit he cones away with.

He's a fantasist. Can be found onAncient Aliens. That well know hub of nutters who have a story about everything alien.

Proof is important to me. Corroborating evidence. Not myths and made up bolloks. He has been debunked more than Santa.

If you chose to believe without one shred of evidence then crack on.

He's no better than clairvoyants. Con artist.

Fuck me that line is funny.

The Americans are preparing to invade it under the guise of 'liberation'.

The signal is probably "tell those fat yank cunts we used all the oil millennia ago so not to bother or we'll send the death star".

Fair enough. I'm not convinced, but I have an open mind.

I could mention the UFO I saw in 1984 whilst night fishing(free from mind bending drugs thank you) that made the news on Piccadilly radio of several people saying they saw what I saw over the skies of Greater Manchester...

I don't question for a minute you seeing that UFO. I wouldn't even say it's definitely not an alien craft. I cannot prove that it wasn't, but equally, the tendency to say we don't know what it is therefore it must be an alien craft is too easily jumped to.

If we look at the rise in reported UFO sightings and abductions, they all start after America and the world started talking and writing about space and aliens.

10 million people in the US claim to have been abducted. All they seem to remember is getting sexually probed....mmm.

An alien civilisation traverses time and space to head to Iowa and stick a probe up a farmers arse never seems like a credible reason to come. No pun intended.

I definitely believe that the probabilities of other intelligent life is overwhelming. The distances needed to travel are truly mind boggling and as to travel faster than light is impossible under the theory if relativity. even at those speeds it would take a very long time.

They do all that, get photographed in the distance, Nab a farmer probe his sphincter and head home seems at best laughable and worst hilariously deluded. It has become a belief system. Like religion where faith, the suspension of critical faculties, allows people to look you in the eye, put their hand on their hearts and tell you they believe in talking snakes. That doesn't mean there are. It means your beliefs bypass reason and ignore evidence that screams they are havering.

But they are out there, way way out there.

Live long and prosper.

THIS ^

In the lifespan of the universe human beings have been around for a blink of an eye. An infinite number of alien civilizations could of started and ended in the time before we came along. Species dotn seem to last too long on earth before some kind of extinction event, if that is the same on these other worlds then the odds of us living in the same time period as another civilisation is quite slim i reckon

Good post mate.

That UFO sighting I saw was when fishing on a pond in Stalybridge next to Cheethams park. IIRC, it was August, still of the night. Nothing happening fishing wise, no bites. I wandered over to my mate Tony fishing about 30 yards away. Had a brew and was having a chat about nothing in particular. All of a sudden from nowhere an intense white orb appeared, hard to judge how far away though, but close enough to notice it kind of swirling around(hard to explain really) on the spot for what seemed 10-20 seconds. after that it shot off into the distance to disappear so fast it was hard to see it shoot off. Myself and Tony stared at each other drop jawed in amazement uttering something like "wtf was that?" 2-3 hours later it came on Piccadilly radio news that several people reported seeing what we saw.

Tbh, Ive not thought about UFOs/aliens much for several years so I'm not obsessed and deluded like some claiming to be abducted bummed etc. But if I get the time, I'll try and research into what I saw back then. I don't mind piss taking banter but I haven't wrote this to be ridiculed as some fucking idiot.
Been too busy with goings on in this mortal coil planet earth since then, work family following 'typical City' fishing etc...

As for religion, nope not me. Not saying there isn't god, but religion has caused too many wars throughout the ages and I'm a pacifist at heart...

Due to the size of the observable universe alone there could be millions of civilisations at the one time. The problem is the vast distances between them. If a billion civilisations exist right now and are all sending signals it would still take millions of years to get here.

As you rightly say we could be extinct by then. We are fucking up the planet bug time so we could be out ig the equation in a space time blink of an all seeing eye.

Just a chinese lantern caught in a breeze pal.

I guess you guys have perhaps not heard of the Drake equation?

The Drake equation is a probabilistic argument used to arrive at an estimate of the number of active, communicative extraterrestrial civilizations in the Milky Way galaxy.[1][2] The number of such civilizations, N, is assumed to be equal to the mathematical product of

  • (i) the average rate of star formation, R*, in our galaxy,
  • (ii) the fraction of formed stars, fp, that have planets,
  • (iii) the average number of planets per star, ne, that can potentially support life,
  • (iv) the fraction of those planets, fl, that actually develop life,
  • (v) the fraction of planets bearing life on which intelligent, civilized life, fi, has developed,
  • (vi) the fraction of these civilizations that have developed communications, fc, i.e., technologies that release detectable signs into space, and
  • (vii) the length of time, L, over which such civilizations release detectable signals, for a combined expression of:
