The 757 is rated its max cruising speed at 493 knots and this is doing 544 knots with a quartering tailwind. Windy.com reckons it's blowing at 19kts.Flying West to East, it’s probably more likely to just have a 30 knot tail wind?

If it was about to kick off with Nukes then heading to a country like Finland would be a good idea as it is unlikely to be a primary target.

A numbers station is a public broadcast that anyone can tune into but is encrypted so just sound like nonsense random words on a loop unless you know how to decode it. They were used a lot by the CIA in the Cold War.
There’s a load of recordings on YouTube and a few are still active. Fascinating stuff.

I just watched a program on youtube that made me think. The belief seems to be if Putin launched an all out Nuclear attack againt the west we would have no option other than to retaliate.
But what if he launched just a single low yeild weapon against a Nato state or Ukraine? Would we then go balls deep knowing it is likely to lead to worldwide destruction. I think any escalation from Russia would result in a measured response.
Some very scary weeks ahead.

It looks like the US Secretary of State might be onboard. Why he decided to board a flight in the middle of the night and rag arse it to Finland is anyone's guess.
