Russian invasion of Ukraine

The sad part in it was a french technical team repairing the launchers to enable them to be fired at British ships.

Every respect to anyone directly or indirectly affected by the Falklands war.

The emotion shown here 40 years on from the death, destruction and injury from that war must surely be a tiny fraction of what Ukrainians will feel towards Russians for generations to come, given the appalling devastation already wreaked, even if by some miracle it ended tomorrow.

Ten million people already fled their homes.

this is apparently someone who knows what they're talking about. can't guarantee it, but sounds like they know their onions. his twitter account seems decent (but you never know, internet etc. link was originally from the guardian). essentially saying that russia will not use nukes if nato does not get involved. hope he's right

I've This guy speaks very clearly and directly, seen him calling out Putins BS in very straight terms and if Johnson is going to insult Ukraine by talking crap then why should people pussyfoot around him? They are literally in the middle of a struggle for their existence so it must be pretty galling to hear what our glorious leader babbling on about - and he might be around later to put the record straight!
Let's forget the fact that the UK trained the Ukrainian army for 7 years and supplied the Ukrainian army with enough NLAWs to blow away a huge chunk of the Russian armour.

To suggest, in an era where media saturation DRIVES NARRATIVES, it was, is, and will become an even greater TOOL for nefarious actors to exploit.

To believe that has not already happened is to not understand how the world operates.
The media has removed all semblance of nuance. First with Covid, now with Ukraine. Anyone saying we shouldn't destroy the world economy for the sake of a flu strain was an evil granny killer. Now anyone saying WW3 is a bad idea is somehow a Putin puppet.

I'd think it would take generations before the Ukrainian people would ever forgive and forget this,It's still almost unbelievable that Russian soldiers and its people think a war of attrition in Ukraine in the 21st century is going to leave them anywhere but lepers of the world for the foreseeable future.

Yes it is, mainly because we’ve left ourseves on the outside looking in.Maybe if we hadn’t we would be the ones taking the lead.
How very dare you!
Boris is leading the world response to the invasion as we speak.
I know, cos he said so.
