Not sure Putin will want to start anything soon and risk the ire of the Chinese with the rapidly approaching Winter Olympics - after that is the big thaw - will Ukraine be good terrain to launch a ground war? The Western powers are offering a lot of support that is air based rather than boots on the ground. If that is used well against a ground force struggling to move in the mud it could be a massacre - I doubt Putin is that daft tbh

The vast majority of our gas doesnt come from Russia. So not likely to be turned off. International market prices will be affected sadly.
