Navalny has the same views of Ukraine as Putin. He thinks Crimea and the rest of Ukraine is a part of Russia that shouldn’t have been given away.
He might not have gone to war over it, but apart from his opposition to Putin and the oligarchs he’s not all that great.

Yes but that article is wrong. The third alternative is relentless guerilla war, which is what I think will happen.Just to be clear. When you wrote "Giving in to Putin's illegal and cowardly demands would be the worst thing to do" you were responding to an article which said defending Ukraine by destroying it would be bad, and that one alternative was WW3 and nuclear armageddon. Now to me, that sounds like worse than giving in.

In short. Fuck’em.The people of Russia are who I feel sorry for. They have no democracy so are stuck with a despot, who invades a neighbouring country because he claims it is run by Nazis.

We all have to do something in the present situation whether it’s rehoming immigrants fleeing the war or supplying the Ukrainian government with weapons and training or just generally biting the bullet and supporting whatever sanctions are necessary.
But the Russian public cannot just be absolved of responsibility whether they are innocent in this or not. The onus is on them to do something about their country and how it is run. Pressure should be put on all Russians international or domestic to declare their position and to do more.
Example being: ban all Russian competitors in any sport or code of International competition. Force them to make a stand.

4 less Russian tanks. It’s impressive to see how they aim above the tank before lighting it up as the missile approaches to prevent the tanks warning systems giving them any chance to evade going boom. I just hope the poor bloke who was loading the missiles gets a go with the bang button once in a while.

No, but I don't think people had the information then that they do now. Sometimes there are grey areas in world events and sometimes it's blindingly obvious that something is wrong and needs sorting out.Did we do this with Americans when their government manufactured a war in Vietnam?
We can't do anything about Vietnam now, but we can all do our bit to support Ukraine, even if that's just spreading the news that Russia must be stopped at all costs and supporting sanctions and paying a bit more for our fuel.
