Russian invasion of Ukraine

There's a lot of gas under Ukraine, an awful lot. Having that would give Putin a very strong hand, they won't give that up easily.

This war isn't about uniting the Russian people. It's about control of resources.
Here's the gas fields if anyone is curious. Notice anything?

I'm not suggesting that Russia wanted to get at the gas, but that Ukraine wants, indeed needs, to get those areas back so that they can benefit from the income the gas would bring.

We've all seen this one before - I have been truly inspired by russia's unimaginative approach to their strategies - copy and paste. Really can't see how they can open a front in Moldova as they are stretched as it is and will be sandwiched between the Romanians and Ukranians. Romanians are very close on many levels to the Moldovans so would expect alot of assistance on the ground if it were to open up there and they have no love for the russians.

There are around 1,500 Russian troops in the Moldovan break away region of Transnistria.
Mischief making is about all they can do in reality.

Had seen on a pentagon briefing that they may look at amphibious landings (unlikely in my opinion after the moscow going down) in the areas around Odessa as he seems hell bent on getting that corridor in place to Moldova. Believe the russians blew up an important bridge between Ukraine and Ukraine/Romania border a few days ago.

A British veteran fighting in Ukraine was killed RIP. and one missing. It seems we have a few veterans over there, brave lads but it’s not safe for them on the front line.
Remember liz truss said it was right for british people to go over there and fight , slapped down by everyone but the fact she encouraged it at the beginning was gross incompetence

I've listened to 'The Litvinenko Affair' on the British Scandal podcast and it is scary stuff what happened there. The Salisbury Poisonings on Netflix is also worth a watch.

It never ceases to amaze me what lengths the Russians will go to in taking out their opponents or seeking revenge.

A less well-known example:

Borovik’s book about the Afghan war is stunning.

Blinking' 'eckers like you lot don't half waffle on. I only come on here to see helicopters being shot down or tanks trying to fly like helicopter but, I have to wade through 15 pages of waffle.

Here you go ya mardy bastard. I particularly like the way the APV is driving at the end, just like them cars you see on police, camera, action after they’re tyres fall off following being hit with a stinger.
