Russian invasion of Ukraine

I don't know. It seems that a lot of them have swallowed what's happened so far hook, link, sinker and copy of Angling Times.

Meeting the Ukraine front will give them a different perspective!

The more cannon fodder which is sent, the more chance the 'intellectuals' and the mothers of dead sons will have of ousting Putin from within?

He doesn't care about losses, but this ain't Stalingrad, Ukraine isn't 80 miles to Moscow.

Putin promises they have more state-of-the-art nuclear weapons than we have to wipe us off the map?

The end result for both is still the same, surely the Russian people aren't that fucking brain dead?

I doubt Russia even has the bandwidth to ensure 300,000 for drafting do turn up.

They can choose to mobilise half the country, they just can’t really arm them.

As brutal as it will be our response should be to send the Ukrainian forces more weapons, use tech to counter the meat grinder approach of the Russian army. Longer range and more deadly.

The sham Referendums and mobilisation of reserves has the feel of a penultimate plan from the Cnut and his cronies.
A feeble plan aimed to shock Ukraine and it’s allies into a standstill.
It’s not going to work though and Vlads choices become even more limited.
It’s defeat or the ultimate nightmare for us all.
Slava Ukraine.

The window from announcement, notification and actual mobilisation into functioning battalion groups ready for deployment onto the battlefield would even take months for a functioning motivated army with a competent chain of command. This doesn't change much in my view for the immediate state of play on the battlefield, if anything the Ukrainians may push harder and take more risks to recapture territories and fortify them fir future defensive positions.

putin may have proven himself to be a shrewd political operator domestically and in some cases internationally but he is no Julius Caeser when it comes to military strategy.
