Russian invasion of Ukraine

There's a scene in "Dr. Zhivago" where Russian soldiers beaten by the Germans in 1917 are retreating from the front line and deserting in droves before they're confronted by a smart young officer who urges them to turn around and fight for their country. "Your country, officer!" says a grizzled veteran, who then shoots the officer dead. Mutiny. Happening again now.
Fuck Putin.

True, this is the first war in a very long time where no side has made significant use of fighter bombers. Makes you wonder what technology they have that is putting them of.

Or it could just be that the Russian air force is made up of friends and family of the Russian elite who never thought they would ever have to fly anywhere dangerous and the thought of losing men and machines is just too much for Putin to risk.
The UK sourced Starstreak ant aircraft missiles are deadly (image tracking not infeared). Also, Russian decoy flares no longer work against US made Stinger (MANPAD) anti aircraft missiles too - They can tell the difference between a flare and an aircraft engine.

Donbass is a mess for the Orcs....everything West of Svatove is crumbling.....retreating in their hoards without even a fight.

Slava Ukraini.
Reading up this AM it seems that Russia had deployed the better units to the western end of the front, looking to ensure that Crimea is protected and they have the coast locked down.

But Ukrainan strategy in the Donbass has been to take out the occupiers in what is an extensive area with the lower quality Orc troops. Its not that strategic in terms of importance until they start to threten the continous line along the coast and the supply lines. As its not that strategic Russia thought they could get away with the worst conscript troops who have all melted away.

The scale of collapse in the Donbass means the Russians have had to rethink their deployment. And as soon as Russians start to have to think about sending better units to the eastern end the fighting now kicks off in the west and the threat on Crimea is back on.

Plenty of well equipped experienced wagner were in Lyman and were smashed they weren't fighting low quality troops.

The submarine has been designed to carry the nuclear torpedo but apparently the device itself isn’t ready for deployment. In fact it’s unlikely to be ready until 2027 or later.
From what I've read, it's supposed to create a nuclear tsunami for targeting against coastal cities - sounds very Godzilla like
