Russian invasion of Ukraine

Far harder to replace as well. You can train a new private soldier in a few weeks (or days if you are Putin...) but officers and NCOs take much longer and the experience they have effectively takes years to acquire.
A Russian officer is nothing near in comparison with Western militaries. They have no corporals. A lieutenant probably leads a group of 20 soldiers or even a captain. Generals leading battalions. They also don't have any further training in tactics of strategy because they simply have to follow the orders given to them. It's a mess.

Bulgaria and Hungary are the only two EU/NATO countries to have refused to send direct military aid to Ukraine so far. Welcome developments in Bulgaria on this front.

Can write Hungary off as they still haven't even ratified Sweden and Finland's request to join NATO - shame we can't kick them out and they can go and join putin on his odyssey of taking russia back to the stone age.

What a shame for a country that has so much suffered under the Soviets.

so if this is true, how does this situation leave the alt right nationalist supporters of putin in the U.S ? some more mental gymnastics to be performed i guess.

Does it really have to get to this point before Israel decides to finally offer tangible support.

Maybe the Saudis can also reconsider some of their less than helpful recent interventions in inflating oil prices also at the last OPEC meeting.
